Photo, city, and other short stories

I went to visit mummy’s office (NMDC) a couple of days ago. Met so many people I hadn’t seen for so many years. There is one thing I simply adore in the building, which is the view from the canteen on the top floor above Mecon. You can see the whole wide city from there. Everything. Charminar looks so tiny and delicate. I took my camera along, but nothing can describe that tranquil appearance of tiny miniature buildings.

Later, I went to Asia’s largest housing society. Miles and miles of apartment buildings. The shopping complexes were numerous and vast. I thought I’d find no beauty in a vast concrete jungle of similar sights. But there were so many people, and the whole place was so rich in architecture. We spent a long time there, moving around block after block of apartments. So many!

I got a new “passport photograph” done yesterday, after my old photograph’s plate got messed in the washing machine. Anyway, mummy got floored when she saw the new one. She was half-expecting I’d have put up a dead-man-trying-hard-to-live kinda appearance. Why should I fake anything anyway? The shot turned out good though. That adds to my collection of 9 previous Mukunds. I think my 8 year old shot is still the best. You can see me “setting-out” in it; the “Yo brave world, come get me” type :) . The new one looks similar though.
